FREE Movie Nights at Unitarian Universalist

You are cordially invited to two thought-provoking documentaries which will be screened this weekend at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno, located at 2672 E. Alluvial Avenue , between Chestnut and Willow, north of Herndon. Both are free, open to the public and wheelchair accessible.
Light refreshments will be served. For information, see
559-291-1590; or

First film, on Friday, December 11 at 7PM,”Mobilize” looks at the potential danger from cell phone technology. It explores the possible long-term negative health effects from cell phone radiation and the most recent scientific research and evidence regarding those risks. The corporate resistance to acknowledge any risk at all and their efforts to block any corrective legislation is also exposed.

Second film, on Sunday evening, December 13 at 6:30PM,
What if confronting the climate crisis is the best chance we’ll ever get to build a better world?
This Changes Everything” is an epic attempt to re-imagine the vast challenge of climate change. The film presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana ’s Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond. Interwoven with these stories of struggle is Naomi Klein’s narration, connecting the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. Will this film change everything? Absolutely not. But you could, by answering its call to action.

Co-sponsored by the following groups: Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno’s Green Sanctuary and Social Justice Committees; Catholic Worker; Fresnans Against Fracking; Fresno Center for Nonviolence; Move to Amend; Peace Fresno; Sierra Club; Volunteers for Change; and Wesley United Methodist Social Justice Action Team.
