Stonewall Democrats Meeting - New Location

Just to give everyone a heads up about our latest Stonewall venue change.

Special “thank you” to Barbara Pyle Rodgers for recommending it.

Next month, Tuesday, October 13th, Fresno Stonewall Democrats will be meeting at the Santa Fe Basque Restaurant located 3110 N. Maroa Ave., on the east side of the street across from the Legends night club.

As usual, the social (dinner) hour begins at 6 p.m. with the meeting call to order at 7 p.m. We have been struggling with attendance that last few months so PLEASE come out and support the club.

Santa Fe Basque is a locally owned non-chain restaurant and full service bar.

The owner has graciously offered to waive our attendance minimum if we make it our on-going meeting place. We will have a private room off to the right of the entryway.

Curious about the menu? http://www.santafebasque.com/menus.htm
They have a wide variety of menu choices from and prices start at a soup and house salad for $5.
There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant.
Just remember that at this point, Maroa is a one way street going north until Shields.

Our guest speaker will be Matt Armstrong of Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL) CCL is building support for a greenhouse gas emissions control policy called carbon fee and dividend (CF&D). It is a way of pricing carbon that return money to the citizens of the US and has tariff mechanisms to encourage overseas trading partners to enact similar policies. He would like Stonewall to endorse this proposal.
