FREE Suicide Prevention Workshop

This event takes place at the Fresno LGBT Community Center at 1067 N Fulton in the Tower District

Seating is limited for this event

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer -- 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.

In two hours you will learn warning signs, common misconceptions, reasons why the suicide event occurs, how to help yourself or a friend, and how to persuade them to get help, along with resources for help.

Leann Gouveia, Executive Director of Fresno Survivors of Suicide Loss, has been teaching this course for 13 years as a certified trainer with the Q.P.R. Institute.
