In My Own Words.... The Camp Drag Review
By Leon Velasco aka Rocio de la Rosa

It was a wonderful event.  I am thrilled to say that although it was organized in just a short time, it seemed to many that it was planned months in advance. The back lounge area was lightly decorated with balloons in an array of colors; some grouped in rainbow bunches. We had an outstanding night of performances, jokes, laughter and fun. Performances were from Imperial Dove Court’s Maxi Grant, Rebel Swaggz of Studfashion’s Kingston Mc Grindin, Ryder Daily, Maxx Decco, and The Phoenix’s very own Helen Hiwater aka Karl Jensen, who co-hosted MC with me as well. The other co host MC who did a spectacular job was Ms. Esmeralda del Valle of Esme’s VarieTEASE Show at the North Tower Circle. (Forgive me if I misspelled any performer’s names). And what about the fantastic work of the music and mic’s in check… The Phoneix’s Bryan Beckstrand.

The Audience would be laughing, whooping, and cheering which makes for such an energetic and positive atmosphere. Some audience members were also pulled out into the spotlight and participated in games and jokes. When it was all over with, I was approached by many audience members and performers saying it was the funnest time they've had and hope to do it again soon. A few spectators also mentioned that they loved that there was comedy in our drag acts and our overall show, and can’t wait to see what the next one will be like.
