What a day!
We raised some money for the LGBT Community Center and got to see a bunch of our friends....
... but even better.... 500 people showed up to get their photos taken!
Such an outpouring of support for the LGBT community is breath taking! People came from all over the Central Valley... from Modesto, from Bakersfield, I even talked to a gal from Sacramento!
It was especially gratifying to see so many families, kids, and our straight allies. Equality isn't just for some, but for all and the sight of all those happy kids being raised by parents who value the principle of fairness and justice.... well, it makes our hearts proud and gives us renewed hope for the future!
Check out the photos over at our online photo albums (new photos in the NoH8 album and the Rainbow Delegation album) or on our Facebook page.
We would like to thank....
The Big Red Church!
Fairfield Inn Clovis
The NoH8 Campaign
The North Tower Circle
The Fresno Sisters
... but most of all to those who came out and waiting through the heat to show their support!
Again, thank you everyone for making the day such a great success!
Our voices might have been stifled in 2008, but we are far from silent!
